2008 Lexus SC430
HS 250h (fun fact! HS stood for “Harmonius Sedan”, not Hybrid sedan like most thought.)
CT 200h in this color and this color only.
Ringer bonus! You can swap out any for the ES250.

DD SC430 because comfortable and smooth V8.
Track CT200H because I want to burn the HS.
Burn HS because I want to burn the HS.

I’ll take two ES250s since they were available with a manual and burn the gussied up Corolla.

I was going to vote but I fell asleep before I could finish reading the post.

Daily the 200h, because if I’m going to be driving something miserable it might as well be the most practical (hatch) and fuel efficient misery possible
I was going to say coin toss for the other two, but I’ll track the 250h, because whatever I track among these options I will thrash with the expectation that it will likely end up on its roof. So best to pick the one that actually has a roof.
Burn the 430. Invite people to watch.

I think you overestimate the size of the hatch in the CT

As long as the seats fold down it doesn’t matter. I need to be able to transport items with dimensions that are not standard-trunk compatible

I don’t know if it is a symptom of my adhd and bad memory, or if it is just indicative of how boring lexus is, but I cannot remember which car is which 2 letter acronym(SC, HS, CT) long enough to scroll down and make a decision. (I had to scroll back up just to remember the three acronyms.)

Also known as the Lamry in certain circles.

HS 250h
I saw one of these things for literally the first time in my entire life just a few months ago. What the fuck were they thinking with that...
thing
?

This is like a catch 22. Do I take the prius sedan or the prius 5 door, or the worst car in the world according to top gear.

DD: CT200h
Track: SC430
Burn: HS250h
Ignore: ES250
![]() 10/25/2016 at 14:00 |

DD CT 200H (They look quite nice in red.)
Track SC 430
Burn HS 250H (Is that just a Camry or Corrola?)
![]() 10/25/2016 at 14:03 |
|
DD SC430 in that exact trim, so badass!
Track CT because a Hybrid hatchback overtaking a “enthusiast bro” in a Miata or BMW would be so satisfying
Burn the HS, never really like it much. Not very Lexus

After switching from “you” to “u” I saved so much time! I taught myself Portuguese and how to play the violin.

DID I SAY RED????
No the HS is a Toyota Sai
![]() 10/25/2016 at 14:08 |

I genuinely feel like the HS has more storage space.

It was supposed to be a concept only, but they got flooded with demands for it. They threw every option they had into them at the time, and sold it for like 2 years. It was a hit in Japan, where they still sell it.
![]() 10/25/2016 at 14:15 |
|
How is the HS not lexus like? Idk how they specc’d them down in TX, but up here in NJ, they all had every single option available with Lexus at the time on them. Where as the CT is a dinky piece of crap. With a shitty interior.
![]() 10/25/2016 at 14:24 |
|
And you would be incorrect. 12 cubic feet in the HS, 14 in the CT
![]() 10/25/2016 at 14:29 |
|
They still had a tape deck in ‘08, right?
![]() 10/25/2016 at 14:30 |
|
it was just that at the time. Exterior and inside (which is really nice inside btw) It was one of those cars that was stuck in between 2 different Lexus eras. Extra noticeable on the outside and overall mechanics of the thing (chassis, drivetrain, etc.). CT on the other hand arrived as the shift was being done back then and onward. See HS sales in the US. It only lasted 1-2 years?. Not Lexus like in looks (exterior), drivability, and just not the type of car customers wanted at the time nor Lexus needed.

DD HS250h
Track CT200h
Burn SC430 for drawing the ire of everyone everywhere... And SC430 apologists should be shunnnnnnnnnned.
![]() 10/25/2016 at 14:33 |

Keep it up and I’ll burn all 4 in front of Green Piece HQ with a note saying why you did it. lol
![]() 10/25/2016 at 14:37 |
|
awesome! I wish the other Lexus models had it at the time also. Many Volvo, Audi, and others didn’t have AUX, SD or USB at the time Lexus already did. Not just that, hybrid tech, 100% electric differentials, electric p/s, electric water pumps, electric a/c compressors, shit, radar cruise was in the first gen LS430. People don’t give Lexus innovations, premier technology, and engineering enough credit. Especially the “auto enthusiasts elite” because to them, they are all Corollas and Rav4s. Lol, silly kids :]
Yup, SC430 had a tape deck and the cars are just basically Corollas
5.0 Yamaha V8 AWD performance Hybrid is soooo a Corolla :]

A bonfire of all three and walk away happy
![]() 10/25/2016 at 14:52 |

I was under the impression the HS was supposed to be a sort of limited production model.
![]() 10/25/2016 at 15:08 |

DD the CT which I actually kind of like, Track the ES250, burn the other two.
![]() 10/25/2016 at 15:09 |

Seemed that way but it’s still sold in Japan. Super rad how in there was a coolant line that wrapped around the cat converter in order to get to operating temp quicker. Also, the material used in the trunk was made of this super fast growing grass. Neat stuff, but Lexus hybrids weren’t about that at the time. Economy wasn’t the priority like at Toyota, that’s why it was called Lexus Hybrid Drive instead of Hybrid Synergy Drive (Toyota). Performance Hybrids before Audi made them cool

LAME.

Dd the CT in this awesome brown.
The SC has a racing heritage even.
Rally the ES, if you can do it with an LS than of course you can use a smaller, lighter Camry-based car.
Burn the Prius sedan. It’s not as handsome as the CT and drives like rubbish.

Stupid fucking communists and their stupid fucking spelling.
![]() 10/25/2016 at 16:24 |

Track the SC after a thorough reworking of the engine and suspension.
Burn the other cars.
DD the SC too.
![]() 10/25/2016 at 17:28 |

Burn the SC430 because it’s the worst car....in the world.
Actually, burn them all.
Take insurance money and buy LS460 to DD because it’s more comfortable than driving your living room down the highway and an old IS300 6MT to track.
![]() 10/25/2016 at 18:53 |

DD SC430
Track CT200H
Burn HS 250 h because sedan

Daily SC, it’s a good Cruiser at least.
Track old ES, since it’s old and light it should be fun to mess around with.
Burn the rest I guess.
